The scope of an investigation will depend on the site, its history and the proposed development. This can range from an initial Phase 1 Desk Study through to intrusive investigation, sampling, monitoring, laboratory analysis and interpretative reporting. 

Where intrusive investigation is required, the appropriate investigation techniques are selected according to the site and project requirements rather than applying the same approach to every development.
