Residential Development: Abandoned Coal Mine Stabilisation

Residential Development: Coal Mining Stabilisation

Earth Environmental & Geotechnical are involved in the detailed design of coal mine stabilisation measures for a large residential development. Using the initial (CMRA) Coal Mining Risk Assessment areas of concern were highlighted and designs to mitigate the risks developed.  The work to date has involved zoning the degree of risk from shallow coal mineworkings. If you are planning a development in a High Risk Area you will need to submit a Coal Mining Risk Assessment to your Local Planning Authority.

Earth Environmental & Geotechnical have extensive knowledge and experience in completing Coal Mining Risk Assessments. We have a wealth of knowledge and our team are competent in completing Coal Mining Risk Assessment for commercial, residential and industrial properties.

Without a Coal Mining Risk Assessment (CMRA) your planning application may not be approved and your development could be delayed.

Earth Environmental & Geotechnical can help identify if your site falls within a High-Risk area and needs a CMRA or whether your development is exempt.
