Earth Environmental & Geotechnical are looking for a Senior GeoEnvironmental Consultant to join one of our busy southern teams in either Reading.
The ideal candidate will have already worked in a similar consultancy/contracting practice and have experience of site investigations (geotechnical and environmental) and land quality assessments.
We are currently working on a wide variety of projects, including residential developments, renewable energy projects and several projects for the local government.
You will be involved in Project Management, Phase 1&2 report writing, Coal Mining Risk Assessments, Remediation Strategies, Validation Reports and Geotechnical Assessments.
All our work combines a combination of geotechnical assessment (bearing capacity/settlement calculations), ground gas assessments, mining studies and the significance of measured soil and groundwater concentrations.
We are looking for someone who thinks they can make a real difference to our organisation. The work will involve a blend of office and site-based work, with support from an established team of engineers and directors.

Earth Environmental & Geotechnical are looking for a Senior GeoEnvironmental Consultant to join a very busy team in our Stockport office.
You will manage our clients projects and be involved in Phase 1 & 2 report writing, Coal Mining Risk Assessments, Remediation Strategies, Validation Reports and Geotechnical Assessments.
You should have the following:
• A BSc, BEng or higher qualification in a relevant subject (geology, civil engineering, environmental science etc).
• 2-3 years of experience in a geo-environmental consultancy role.
• Good working knowledge of relevant and up to date British Standards (eg BS EN 5930), Industry Guidance (eg EA LC:RM) and NHBC Standards.
• Supervision, reporting and management of geo-environmental assignments.
• Monitoring of gas and groundwater levels and groundwater sampling.
• Liaison with sub-contractors and clients assisting in the delivery of projects.
• Technical report writing (including Desk Studies and Ground Investigation Reports).
• Good understanding of Health and Safety requirements for ground investigations.
• Self-motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• A proactive and independent thinker with an enthusiastic approach to work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• CSCS card
• SSSTs or IOSH equivalent site supervisor certificate
• First Aid training
• Cat and Genny trained.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
