Associate Director : Stockport, North West

Earth Environmental & Geotechnical are looking for an Associate Director to lead an established GeoEnvironmental team in Stockport.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering focused solutions to our growing key client base, with emphasis on technical excellence, client care and effective project management.

We are currently working on a wide variety of projects, including residential developments, renewable energy projects and commercial developments.

You will have:
• A relevant degree e.g. geology, engineering geology.
• Chartered membership of appropriate professional body
• Extensive experience of geo-environmental, engineering geology and brownfield work particularly in the northwest of UK.
• Detailed knowledge of market conditions, opportunities, competition and client base in the northwest.
• Demonstrable business development success.
• Experience of team leadership and development of professional staff.
• Strong influencing, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrable revenue and profitability growth with your existing client base.
• Robust project management capability and a record of successfully delivering large projects.
• Demonstrable technical innovation experience.

Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant : Head Office Stockport

Earth Environmental & Geotechnical are looking for a Senior GeoEnvironmental Consultant to join a very busy team in our Stockport office.

You will manage our clients projects and be involved in Phase 1 & 2 report writing, Coal Mining Risk Assessments, Remediation Strategies, Validation Reports and Geotechnical Assessments.

You should have the following:

• A BSc, BEng or higher qualification in a relevant subject (geology, civil engineering, environmental science etc).
• 2-3 years of experience in a geo-environmental consultancy role.
• Good working knowledge of relevant and up to date British Standards (eg BS EN 5930), Industry Guidance (eg EA LC:RM) and NHBC Standards.
• Supervision, reporting and management of geo-environmental assignments.
• Monitoring of gas and groundwater levels and groundwater sampling.
• Liaison with sub-contractors and clients assisting in the delivery of projects.
• Technical report writing (including Desk Studies and Ground Investigation Reports).
• Good understanding of Health and Safety requirements for ground investigations.
• Self-motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• A proactive and independent thinker with an enthusiastic approach to work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• CSCS card
• SSSTs or IOSH equivalent site supervisor certificate
• First Aid training
• Cat and Genny trained.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Senior Flood Risk Consultant : Regional Offices Throughout the UK

Earth Environment & Geotechnical is searching for a Senior Flood Risk Consultant to work in any of its regional offices.

It is essential that applicants have a BSc and/or MSc and in a relevant discipline (e.g. River Basin Dynamics, Hydrology or Engineering) and have experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk Assessments.

It is beneficial for candidates to have experience completing drainage strategies and hydraulic modelling.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to complete Flood Risk, Surface Water, Environmental, Drainage Strategies and Hydraulic Modelling Projects for residential, commercial and industrial projects for Local Authorities and Private Sector Clients.

As a Senior Flood Risk Consultant you will be required to complete technical work including Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Estimation and complex Hydraulic Modelling using Tuflow and Flood Modeller.

You will also be trained to complete drainage strategies and design using Microdrainage and AutoCAD.

Senior/Associate Ecologist : Regional Offices Throughout the UK

Earth Environmental & Geotechnical are looking for a Senior/Associate Ecologist working from one of our regional offices.

You will be working on a wide variety of projects across a range of sectors including Residential Development, Commercial Development and Energy Generation.

You need to hold a Bachelors or Masters degree in Ecology, Botany, Zoology or equivalent with solid experience in a similar consultancy role and be able to demonstrate your field experience with a range of habitats and protected species, together with good field recording skills and the ability to analyse data.

You will prepare technical reports with a sound understanding of current guidance, UK standards, planning policy and laws.

You must hold a UK driving licence for this role.

Membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM) and a protected species class/survey licence(s) would be advantageous to this role, as would experience of QGIS and project management.
