Celebrating the Appointment of Paul Finnimore as Director to Earth Environmental & Geotechnical Ltd’s Board. Paul will continue to be based in Redcar at The Wilton Centre heading up the North East and Scotland Regional Offices.

“We have seen extensive growth in the North East and Scotland region, especially in the renewable energy sector. So the company directors are delighted that Paul has joined the board. Congratulations Paul on your success and management of the North East business growth”  Adam Czarnecki, chairman at Earth Environmental & Geotechnical Ltd. “Our renewable energy and battery storage site investigation services continue to be in demand, especially in this region, so having Paul on the board leading this growth is fantastic news. ”

Paul has had an extremely busy year in the North East and Scotland region “I’m really pleased to be a Director at Earth Environmental & Geotechnical Ltd. It’s been fantastic working with such an experienced team over the last 12 months and being involved in a diverse range of geotechnical and geoenvironmental projects.” explains Paul.

From battery storage facilities, wind farms, solar farms, and housing development projects, to specialist radon risk assessment services.  It’s great to be at the starting point of these innovative projects. We work with a whole range of clients, FTSE 100, and local property owners, so no two weeks are the same.”

“We have conducted rotary coring, at numerous sites including detailed intrusive investigation for a bridge refurbishment for North Yorkshire Council, subsidence surveys involving window sampling,  percolation tests for a horse riding school, and site investigations on a former quarry site in Berwick to name a few projects. It’s great to be part of the success and business growth.”

More About Paul Finnimore

Paul was raised in the coastal town of Redcar, so has extensive knowledge of the local area, and attended Teesside University where he graduated in 2009 with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering.

In his early years, he worked in a specialist geotechnical laboratory based in the North East of England, where he carried out earthworks testing, geotechnical testing and in-situ testing. After leaving the lab, he moved on to large scale contract supervision work where he worked on large infrastructure projects, the largest being a pipeline scheme from Peterhead to Grangemouth involving several rigs at once.

For a decade, Paul dedicated his expertise to a local geotechnical consultancy, progressing from a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to a seasoned Project Manager. His tenure was marked by his involvement in diverse tasks, including desk-based assessments, brownfield site investigations, validation of earthworks, and complex underground mine investigations. Concurrently, he pursued further education at Newcastle University, culminating in a master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering in 2016.

The company moved to largescale contracting work, and Paul was able to use his multiple skills and competencies to deliver large site investigations for multi-million-pound projects nationally, which included the site investigation for Westfield Court Student Accommodation Block at The University of Hull, Earthworks testing at Windsor Castle for the Queens Diamond Jubilee and several large ground investigations at the local oil refinery Conoco Phillips in Seal Sands.

Prior to joining Earth Environmental & Geotechnical Ltd, Paul had moved to a local company where he set up his own earthworks department, worked project management, and tendered for work, also working onsite and hands-on drilling boreholes and producing onsite reports for the clients.

The whole team at Earth Environmental & Geotechnical Ltd is very proud to have Paul as Director of our North East Regional Office. Congratulations Paul!
